Centre Court, Privately: The Rolex Shanghai Masters 2026

From 5 to 18 October 2026, the Rolex Shanghai Masters turns Qizhong into Asia's finest tennis address. Seen from a Sky Box with a private car between the arena and your Bund suite, it becomes less a match and more a composed autumn escape.

A tournament worth the trip

From 5 to 18 October 2026, the Qizhong Forest Sports City Arena in Minhang hosts the Rolex Shanghai Masters — the only ATP Masters 1000 tournament staged in Asia, and one of just nine in the world. The fortnight draws the top of the men's game to a stadium built around a retractable roof shaped like a blooming magnolia, and the atmosphere on centre court is quietly electric.

The run opens with a four-day carnival from 1 October, then lifts through early rounds into quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final on 18 October. A legends doubles on 16 October, with Roger Federer returning to centre court, gives the second week a finale worth planning around. For an international visitor, it is a rare chance to pair world-class sport with a Shanghai autumn.

  • •5–18 October 2026, Qizhong Forest Sports City Arena (旗忠网球中心)
  • •Asia's only ATP Masters 1000 — one of nine worldwide
  • •Retractable magnolia-roof stadium, day and night sessions
  • •Federer legends doubles on 16 October

The premium way to watch

The tournament's hospitality tiers are where the experience changes character. A Sky Box or ATP House package brings reserved sideline seating, gourmet bites and premium beverages served through the day, and a calmer, more composed way to follow the matches than the open stands. It is tennis as a hosted occasion rather than a crowded event.

Entry uses a real-name system with facial recognition, so tickets are best secured through your hotel concierge or private guide well before you travel — particularly for the sought-after box and final-week sessions. Treat the seats as the centrepiece and let someone else handle the logistics, from the invitation letter to the transfer.

  • •Sky Box and ATP House hospitality with sideline views
  • •Gourmet dining and premium service through the day
  • •Real-name entry with facial recognition — book ahead
  • •Concierge or guide secures and manages the tickets

Your private guide secures the Rolex Shanghai Masters hospitality access, handles the real-name entry details, and arranges seamless private transfers between your Bund suite, the French Concession and Qizhong. An unhurried day of world-class tennis and Shanghai skyline — all-inclusive private vehicle, guide, admissions and bottled water.

Compose the fortnight around it

The elegant plan pairs centre court with a Bund suite stay — the W Shanghai – The Bund and The Shanghai EDITION both offer Sky Box-and-suite packages, so the evening's matches end a short lift ride from your bed. A private car carries you to Qizhong in well under an hour and brings you back along the lit river afterwards.

On non-match days, keep the rhythm slow: a long lunch on the French Concession's tree-lined streets, an afternoon at a gallery or spa, then a riverside table as the city lights up. Tennis becomes the anchor of a composed Shanghai autumn rather than the whole of it.

  • •A Bund suite stay — W Shanghai – The Bund or The Shanghai EDITION
  • •Private car to Qizhong and back along the river
  • •French Concession lunches on non-match days
  • •Riverside dining to close each evening

Practical, the refined way

Tickets release through the official Juss Sports (久事体育) app and channels; hospitality and box categories sell quickly, so settle the plan with your concierge before flights are booked. Allow a full afternoon or evening per session — day and night sittings each carry their own order of play, and the grounds reward a slow arrival.

Qizhong sits in Minhang, a direct private-car run from the Bund or French Concession that avoids the city's peak congestion if you time it right. A guided visit means transfers, entry and timing are handled for you, leaving only the match to watch — and, afterwards, a skyline to return to.

  • •Book hospitality early via concierge or Juss Sports app
  • •Allow a full session — day or night has its own draw
  • •Under an hour from the Bund by private car
  • •A guide handles transfers, entry and timing
